Bewildering Abstract Branding

The Designer of Gesture and Packaging Was Thinking Outside the Box

By now, most of us have figured out how to open a box. This Gesture and Packaging concept works to provoke a little more thought in the consumer than the vast majority of product wrappers do, benefiting both him and the brand itself.

The complexly contrived cartons of tea can only be undone in a certain way. One must hold the multifaceted objects in one's hand in order to figure out the best way to go about accessing the infusions inside. However, the three very different and equally creative card containers that were developed by Portugal's Ângela Monteiro would have been much more complicated to construct in the first place.

If the curious crumpling forms of Gesture and Packaging weren't stimulating enough, the designer added colorful shapes to increase the dynamic appearance of the boxes. Undoing them is an "educational" and memorable process.
