Expecting Beer Ads

This German Beer Ad Parodies Pregnancy Photos by Swapping in Men with Beer Guts

A German beer brand called 'Bergedorfer Bier' released a series of ads that shows men lovingly holding their bellies.

The advertising effort was done in collaboration with 'Jung von Matt/Alster' and was headed by executive creative directors Thimoteus Wagner, Jens Pfau and Tobias Grimm. The German beer ads are made to look like pregnancy photography, with expecting mothers holding their soon to be babies replaced by happy pot-bellied drinkers. At the bottom of the ads is the slogan "Brewed with love" -- a message that coincides perfectly with the affectionate expressions that the men admire their beer bellies with.

The humorous ads work to show just how much consumers love the German beer brand. As a mother loves nothing more than her child, Bergedorfer Bier parodies the concept to show that men love nothing more than its product.
