Generation Esports has launched a new collaboration with sim racing platform iRacing that has resulted in the ‘Speedway’ competition. The three-series event is open to members of Generation’s High School Esports League (HSEL), collect students in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), and members of the armed forces through the Military Gaming League (MGL).
50 drivers for each series will be selected after applying to the competition via social media. These drivers will compete in a four-race regular season, aiming to earn enough points to put their team in the lead. Drivers leading the competition will compete on November 5th for the Championship.
"iRacing’s world-class simulation brings a whole new opportunity to the scholastic and military esports communities. We wanted to celebrate this by creating something that is unique, bold, and innovative. That is what Speedway is and we’re excited to share this with each community."
