Italian artist Gabriele Croppi has completed a photo piece that accentuates famous landmarks with high-contrast resolution.
Gabriele Croppi’s series is titled ‘Metaphysics of the Urban Landscapes’ and displays world-renowned landscapes in Paris, New York, Rome and other major cities with illustrious scenery. Parts of the shots are blacked out and other parts are given more exposure to create a dramatic feel. The photos are all black and white with shadows and reflections. There are people in some of the shots, but they are small in size and act as additions instead of focal points of the photographs. There is a light and dark motif that runs through the shots heightened by the cinematic nature of them.
