4D-Printed Arenas

This Sports Ground Will be a Dream Come True for Athletes

Sports facilities often cost many millions of dollars to make, but Dutch companies InnoSportNL and Sublean's futuristic sport arena aims to make the playing fields of the future not only multi-purpose but cost effective too.

The 4D sports ground is constructed out of many panels that rest on a prismatic machinery system, and each of these planks flip in unison. Covered in AstroTurf and with plans to support a wide variety of sports like hockey, basketball and soccer, the 4D sports ground is making the futuristic sports arenas athletes have dreamed about a reality.

This crafty design was also made in order to help smaller sports clubs maintain a successful business model, but so far I can't get over the awesome idea that I'll be able to play hockey and soccer in the same arena and maybe even on the same day.
