Many future robot designs are created to make the lives of humans a little bit better, but this one from RPA goes about doing this in a different way through a simple mission to spread love.
RPA's 'GIMI-5' robot is also known as the "karma-bot" and collects "Internet love" from social media likes, favorites and mentions in order to turn them into "real-world love" by giving out high-fives. For instance, any time the #GIMI5 tag is used, GIMI-5 makes sure someone in the real world feels the love through a high-five, which gives a tangible feel to positive interactions that take place on social media.
With its debut at this year's SXSW event, GIMI-5 spread plenty of positivity. On its website, RPA details that more than 1,400 high-fives have been given out in response to more than 1,300 social media mentions.
