Refinery29 enlisted makeup artist Kate Nash to create a series of last-minute DIY makeup tutorials -- including this amazing Frida Kahlo costume.
Kahlo was a Mexican painter best known for her self-portraits; she also had a pretty iconic look. In order to recreate it, Nash advises filling in your brows (Kahlo's most recognizable feature) with an angled brush and brow gel. Finish off the makeup with bright blush and an orange-red lipstick.
For the hair, part down the middle and section hair into two braids. Pin the brains across your head in a plait and accessorize with a floral crown -- real or fake -- and a heavily embroidered shirt. Voila! You have brought Frida Kahlo back to life in mere minutes.
