Tate Modern is the new home for Franz West's new exhibition, the Austrian artist explores punk inspirations in the latest series of work. The designs are constructed from day-to-day items including brooms, whiskey bottles, hats, and papier-mache.
The large pieces include some of the sculptures drawn from her 'Passtuke (Adaptives)' series, where the art made from papier-mache invite viewers to pick them up and move it around. Achim Borchardt-Hume explains that the installation is "intended to function as extensions to the human body and give external form to a person’s neuroses and desires [...] with often funny and subversive titled were not intended to be handled, but to turn upside down the conventions of culture." London's Tate Modern will host the exhibition until June 2nd.
