Rituals is now adding to its collection of fragrance products with two new scents, both of which are inspired by Persia.
Nuit d’Azar has been introduced as a fragrance for men that pays homage to the Iranian tradition Yalda—a winter solstice celebration—with woody notes melded with sage, geranium, vetiver, blackcurrant and mint, plus top notes of citrus and ginger. Rituals' new fragrance for women, Poème d’Azar, also takes cues from the same celebration and uses notes like blackcurrant, but also pomegranate, tonka, vanilla, almond milk, Bulgarian rose, orris and patchouli.
Up-and-coming and established fragrance brands alike are looking to the Middle East for inspiration, as this part of the world contains a unique fusion of cultures that allows new perfume creations to introduce consumers to interesting scents with a twist.
