This line of Fort Standard jewelry marks a departure from the brand's usual focus on furniture, lighting and home accessories. Design duo Ian Collings and Gregory Buntain explain, "Jewelry allows us to explore the more sculptural side of design while simultaneously forcing us out of our comfort zone, which usually creates interesting results."
The Brooklyn-based brand produced six bracelets, ten necklaces and two bottle openers for this collection. The necklaces use metal cage-like structures to adorn nautical ropes. The bracelets take a more fluid form that make them look as though the metal used is malleable. The two bottle openers complement the jewelry nicely and are reminiscent of old-style keys.
The Fort Standard Jewelry collection is available through the company's online store now.
