Forest House by AOC takes cues from the nearby woods of Epping. The London-based architecture studio created the home for a family of five. The project involved a renovation and extension of an existing semi-detached Victorian house.
The studio pays homage to nature by immersing the house in nature-inspired designs. Forest House features a triple-height living space at the heart of the home, which encompasses a colorful kitchen and dining area. This area includes large openings towards the outdoor wild garden and views of the local skyline. In addition, to stay true to the home's outdoorsy feel, the living space expands into a woven hazel-clad section. Its external material was chosen to create an inviting area for plants and wildlife.
