Launched at CES 2015, Ford SYNC 3 is a Powerful Infotainment System

Improving on the MyFord Touch infotainment system, Ford unveiled the Ford SYNC 3 at CES 2015. Rather than being powered by Microsoft, this new system uses QNX by BlackBerry instead. As a result, the new system is faster and simpler than its predecessor, featuring a display that shows off menu items to control the car's audio, climate, phone, navigation system and apps. In terms of apps, the AppLink system makes it so that a smartphone can be linked to the system, providing access to about 70 apps like Spotify and AccuWeather.

Although older vehicles can't be upgraded to include SYNC 3, the touchscreen system will be available on Ford models released in late 2015, such as the Mustang, F-150 pickup and the 2015 Ford Fusion.
