The CEO of ZOZO, Yusuka Maezawam, has recently announced new foot scanning technology that will be incorporated into an app. The app is titled 'ZOZOMAT' and provides 3D foot scanning.
The app functions by users putting their feet onto a mat with lines outlining where feet should be placed. After that, users can get a 3D rendering of their feet using the app, which uses the lines and dots on the mat to measure the exact foot size. The app will give users the exact dimensions of their foot and will also use those measurements to recommend a shoe size.
The foot scanning tech is not an entirely new venture for the company. A similar project titled ZOZOSUIT provided users with their exact clothing size.
