3D Printing Restaurants

Food Ink is Now Launching Its First Restaurant in London, UK

Consumers interested in eating 3D-printed food will soon be able to visit the world's first 3D printing restaurant, Food Ink. The idea started out as a pop-up but is now becoming a full-fledged mainstay in London's hipster capital, Shoreditch. The new concept is the brain child of Antony Dobrzensky, Marcio Barradas in collaboration with byFlow, a company specializing in 3D printers.

At the VIP launch, guests will be fitted with virtual reality headsets and hear AI-composed music to create a futuristic and immersive experience. Nearly everything in the restaurant will be 3D printed, from the furniture to the utensils. Guests will be treated to a nine course meal and will witness their food being printed in 3D right in front of them. The event will also be live-streamed so that anyone in the world can tune in.

The innovative concept, which was tested through its pop-ups, is sure to garner media attention and be a prime hot spot in London. Food Ink would appeal to food connoisseurs, young local hipsters and those attending Trend Hunter’s London innovation conference who are eager to learn more about the future of foodie culture.
