Canada-based ad agency TAXI has created an ad campaign with Boston Pizza to stop ‘festive fakery’ with the slogan, "there’s nothing more awkward than watching a good person pretend to like a bad gift."
In one of the five series of animated short videos from Boston Pizza called ‘The Cat,’ the gift receiver gets a crazy white cat that scratches the man. He reluctantly lies about loving the present calling the cat ‘alive.’ The Boston Pizza representative displays a gift card for friends and family assuring you that you’ll be able to get a free pizza, "a gift they won’t pretend to like."
There are five videos in total so be sure to catch all of them to ensure you're not giving out bad gifts and participating in festive fakery.
