Bulgarian artist Yanko Tsvetkov has created a series of delightfully macabre illustrations.
A ladybug bristling with blades, a bloodthirsty bunny squad, murderous machines and angry birds are just a few of the subjects digitally rendered by Yanko Tsvetkov. The series titled the 'Fearmonger Collection' features a slew of sinister characters, drawn neatly in black and red, set against a white background. This tidy color scheme betrays the implied carnage of the illustrations. It’s not all doom and gloom, however, as Tsvetkovs creations are proper cartoons and carry with them all the endearing qualities of happy characters.
This is not the first time Tsvetkov has married the sardonic with the blithe either. It seems he has a knack for wry humor and punchy imagery that's hard to ignore.
