Smoke and Mirrors, a collection of photos by Lyn Averson, explores the idea of modern day feminism encapsulated in a fashion shoot.
The photos are divided into four chapters, each telling its own story. The Siren tells the tale of a woman indulging in her own forbidden pleasures shot from a voyeuristic point of view. The second photo set, Femme Fatale, explores female sexuality and how it is used as a weapon to manipulate men into getting what they want.
The third and final set, Fatal Attraction and The Hunted, portrays women who are seemingly weak and innocent at first. The photos also play up a man’s ego before finally striking him down when he least expects.
