Fashion Designers as Rappers

Karl Lagerfeld, Armani, Versace & More for Harper's Bazaar

In addition to having Tyra Banks as Michelle Obama, the September fall fashion issue of Harper’s Bazaar features Karl Lagerfeld and other influential fashion designers living their fantasies.

The larger than life Lagerfeld chose to pose as a hardcore rapper. That entailed Phat Farm jeans and untied shoelaces!

"Believe it or not, I love rap," Lagerfeld told Bazaar.

Giorgio Armani was captured playing the role of Fred Astaire. While Michael Kors posed as James Stewart as L.B. Jeffries in Hitchcock’s Rear Window.

Other designers who participated include Donna Karan, Donatella Versace, Alessandra Facchinetti, Alber Elbaz, Rodarte’s Laura and Kate Mulleavy and Roberto Cavalli.
