Scotch whiskey producer Lochlea has announced the launch of its newest expression, a Sherry cask whiskey dubbed the 'Fallow Edition.' Set to drop on November 3, the limited edition whiskey will be added to the brand's premium season lineup, where it will be offered alongside Harvest Edition and Sowing Edition.
"When we were first planning for our core single malt, Lochlea Our Barley, we found some wonderful Sherry butts that deserved to be showcased together and decided to use these to create Lochlea Fallow Edition," said John Campbell, Lochlea master blender.
A blend of freshly baked banana bread, malt biscuits, and dried fruits make up the flavors of Fallow Edition, which was also exclusively matured in 100% ex-oloroso Sherry casks.
