Urban Street Accommodations

The Faktum Hotels Allows Guests to Sleep Like a Homeless Person

There are some very strange and gimmicky hotels out in the world and so the concept behind the Faktum Hotels may not raise any red flags at first. Instead, many people will find themselves intrigued by the possibility of living like a homeless person, which is the Faktum Hotels 'gimmick.'

In reality, the Faktum Hotels were created by Swedish charity and magazine Faktum to raise awareness of the problem of homelessness in Gothenburg, Sweden. For 100 Swedish krona per night (about $16), people can enjoy one of ten carefully chosen 'rooms' found in grim urban spots. The booking fee for the Faktum Hotels could remain a small donation to support the charitable works of the publication or people can take advantage of a spot under the cold Scandinavian skies.
