Baristas have a knack for remembering the orders of regulars, but one cafe owner in Sydney is taking this skill to the next level after having developed facial recognition for cafes that intends to provide smaller businesses with more streamlined and personal service.
The device is called NoahFace and while its not yet ready for the market, it's expected to help business owners cater to their clients. While it was originally designed for cafes, NoahFace can also be used in members-only clubs or other smaller snack shops.
When discussing this technology with the Sydney Morning Herald, Geoff Cropley remarked that, "Customers overwhelmingly love it. They say they come to the cafe because it is so personal."
