Luxury fashion house Gucci unveils its new Exquisite campaign that is captured and inspired by iconic scenes from Stanley Kubrick's films. Some of the highlights include classic influences from 'The Shining, 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, Eyes Wide Shut, and Barry Lyndon.' Gucci worked together with Warners Bros to ensure that the creative direction is authentic as possible.
The house also taps the talents of Kubrick costume designer Milena Canonera to bridge any gaps. Alessandro Michele talks about the new campaign, stating that "As an act of love, I decided to re-inhabit Kubrick’s films. I took the liberty of disassembling, blending, grafting, and reassembling them. Sticking to my creative praxis, I seized those movies, re-semanticizing them, and populating them with my clothes. The past explodes into the present."
