Epihunter Tracks Episode Frequency and Alerts Caretakers of Changes

It's reported that 1% of the world's popular has epilepsy, with almost 30% of those people unable to respond to medical treatment, however devices like the Epihunter make it easier to track any sudden changes, especially when it comes to small children.

The device works by connecting to a slim headset with a smartphone through an accompanying app. Whenever the headset detects what's called absence seizures, which are otherwise almost impossible for others to notice, it sends an alert and logs the data. By notifying the parent or teacher of the seizure, Epihunter allows them to properly respond, and to be aware of any changes that they'd like to communicate to their doctor. The data taken from the device can also be viewed on a web platform.

Epihunter is currently being promoted on Indiegogo, where it has reached nearly half its funding goal so far.
