Jakarta, Indonesia-based fashion photographer Nicoline Patricia Malina recently shot a series for the ELLE Indonesia April 2012 issue that is naughty and undeniably alluring.
The editorial, titled 'The Newton's Rule,' is a tribute to the late, great German-Australian fashion photographer Helmut Newton. It stars models Anna B. Julia & Katya (Amn Inc), as styled by Aldi Indrajaya with hair and makeup by Priscilla Myrna. Last but not least, assistants Melvin Roberto, Ila Schaffer, Rere Styannes deserve credit for their part in the production.
It's not easy to pull off a naughty or suggestive editorial, as there is always the risk of coming off as contrived. One needs to give just enough to entice their audience, but hold back enough so that that audience is left wanting more.
