Elasticity by Fabrice le Nezet is an installation that explores the idea of tension and what it means to observe this phenomenon. According to DesignBoom, "the work materializes the idea of tension by making the notion of weight and stretch palpable through the use of four massive and abstract metal structures."
The structure looks as though a large concrete block has fallen through the top floor, only to he help up by metal bars that take on the appearance of an elastic. Because of this, the idea of elasticity is magnified and brought to people's attention, as the massive piece of concrete hangs, suspended in mid-air. The installation also moves so that the block is lowered towards the floor and is gently placed on the ground, halting the idea of elasticity and tension. Photo Credits: designboom, fabricelenezet
