Monochromatic Eatery Interiors

The Eat Rice & Noodle Restaurant Uses One Color for Decoration

Bangkok-based studio Onion designed the interior for Eat Rice & Noodle, which is completely made of an ash-colored wood material. This unique concept creates an intoxicating cohesive appearance that looks like a child's playhouse. Beside the ash-colored interior, the only other color visible in the eatery is the logo, which is a black circle with the brand's name written in the center.

The monochromatic interior is strictly comprised of balsa wood, which provides a soft light-colored and welcoming hue. The Eat Rice & Noodle restaurant is located in the basement of a food court in the retail complex created by New York firm Leeser Architecture.

The eatery is about 66 square meters and specializes in Thai food, which is reflective of the name. The ultimate goal for this eatery is to provide a wholesome family-themed appearance while serving healthy and delicious dishes.
