Greycork is a company that's on a mission to make it easy to assemble furniture—and at the same time, give IKEA some stiff competition.
When the brand launched in 2014, it sold a bench and two table styles, but it is now expanding to make it even easier to instantly furnish an entire living room with a couple of ready-to-assemble pieces from flat-pack boxes.
The simple furniture styles take inspiration from Japanese minimalism and American practicality, using materials like ash, fiberboard and polyester upholstery. With all of the components flat-packed into thin cardboard boxes, Greycork boasts that users should be able to assemble the designs in less than four minutes. In order to entice the back-to-school audience, the furniture brand is running a crowdfunding campaign to sell some of the new pieces.
