How will you spend Earth Hour 2009? This inspiring viral video shows you how a single person, YOU, can make a difference. On March 31, 2009 at 8:30 pm local time (wherever you are in the world), Earth Hour participants will turn off all their lights (and all electricity, if possible, including unplugging laptops, appliances, etc.) in what could be the most dramatic, collaborative tribute to saving the planet we’ve ever to date.
Last year we not only saw individual homes power down, but restaurants, entire hotels and landmarks completely shut off their lights.
Earth Hour first began in Sydney, Australia in 2007 and only a year later spread to include 35 countries and more than 370 cities around the world, with an estimated 50 million people participating. This year should be even more dramatic.
