Through this research project with a dystopian narrative, Glasgow School of Art student, Hardy Wong, conceptualizes what the world might actually look like after the coronavirus. These images take cues from "diverse reading material and various case analyses," one of which is the famous George Orwell novel '1984.' The work has served as a springboard for a number of dystopian narratives—from film to fashion and beyond. Hardy Wong references the totalitarian society that was talked about in the book. In her version, people have to "sacrifice individual freedom for public health and consequently live in a permanent state of fear and insecurity."
