Uber's 'Driver Roundtable' is a virtual conversation recently hosted by the popular rideshare brand, led by its CEO.
In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the many uncertainties surrounding it, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi sat down with drivers and delivery people for "a candid conversation about topics including safety on the road, earnings, and Uber’s new proposal to enhance the quality and security of independent work."
The candid conversation also aimed to address past criticisms directed toward the brand by employees who desired more transparency surrounding the company's earnings as a whole as well a their own livelihood, benefit opportunities and earning potential. By approaching employee criticism and feedback honestly, Uber goes beyond a traditional brand statement to showcase its dedication to its community. In doing so, the company pledges to be as authentic as possible even when it comes to uncomfortable conversations.
