The DreamTab created by Fuhu for DreamWorks studio was recently unveiled at CES 2014. The touchscreen tablet is designed for an audience just two to three years old and it comes loaded with games, educational apps and most notably, the ability to stream kid-friendly TV channels.
Tablets come with a stylus for easy handling and for applications like learning to draw DreamWorks’ Kung Fu Panda. The tablet itself is available in eight and 12" varieties, with speakers on either side of the screen, a slot to store its stylus and buttons for power and volume control. The device has a concave shape that makes it easy for tots to hold, plus a silicone sleeve that provides extra grip and protection.
A full-length animated feature or TV show may takes month or years to animate, but the DreamTab provides ways for kids to interact with their favorite characters. And as DreamWorks’ Head of Digital Strategy and New Business Development describes: "We could push out a new character moment every day of the year."
