Plant-based dessert brand Dream Pops has announced the launch of its latest line of dark chocolate-covered crunchy candy bits, which were first revealed by the brand at Natural Products Expo West earlier this year.
The new candies are made with coconut milk and coconut sugar and, as a result, offer consumers a healthy alternative to traditional chocolate-coated snacks, which are typically packed with high-fructose corn syrup.
"It’s a great alternative for people who are looking for that ‘crispety, crunchety’ candy without high-fructose corn syrup and malt and artificial flavors," said Mr. Greenfield. "It’s just dehydrated coconut milk wrapped in dark chocolate."
In addition, the candies are being sold direct-to-consumer through the brand's website, dreampops.com, marking the company's first embrace of the increasingly popular DTC e-commerce business model.
