Mur Mur Lab Designed the Dongdan Grassland Sea Ruins Station

Architecture firm Mur Mur Lab has designed the Dongdan Grassland Sea Ruins Station which is found on the Eastern side of China to form two wave-topped glass pavilions. The station is in the Dongshen Township in Zhejiang province overlooking the area of mudflat pasture created during a land reclamation project.

It serves as a transit hub that connects the Damuyang coastal area with the southern coastal highway. The studio speaks about how it approached the design, sharing "Faced with a vast wilderness, 'viewing' is not a challenge. The core design consideration is how the scenery, filtered through the 'architectural container', presents itself as a unique experience – it first appears as a screen, then a window, followed by a corridor, and finally a high platform."
