Although I may find the Doll, Dull, Old photo series rather creepy, I also seem to be equally captivated by it because I can't seem to tear my eyes from it. Essentially, it pairs one fashionable model with a disturbing doll figure for a child-like sense of play and imagination.
Yet what I think I appreciate more than the imagination and playfulness of the Doll, Dull, Old photo series is the fact that the concept seemed to be inspired by the fashion itself. Donning colorful, eclectic and patchwork designs, the models come across looking like dolls. When I think about it like that, it almost looks like a fairy tale story.
Shot by Momchil Hristov and Antonia Yordanova, the Doll, Dull, Old photo series was photographed for MAXIMUM magazine.
