Created by ad agency Rethink and Aaron Starkman, who had a close call leaving his golden retriever for a few minutes in his car, Dog Caller will alert dog-owners via text that their dog is overheating. The device is made of a SIM card, a thermistor, some LED lights and a coded chip, describes The Star, and it works like a phone, sending you a text whenever your dog's temperature exceeds 26 C (approximately 79 F).
Dog Caller is still in the prototype phase, but the team plans to crowdfund the project and make it available next year for about $20 per collar.
