Perforated Diving Goggles

The Hektometer Goggles Feature an Array of Holes to Let Water Inside

The Hektometer is a uniquely designed pair of diving goggles, created by an enterprising group of entrepreneurs based in Italy, that are designed to be used by free divers rather than typical swimmers.

Typical swimming goggles cannot be used for freediving because they can damage the wearers' health at great depths by causing suction pressure on their eyes, thereby damaging their blood vessels. The Hektometer goggles get rid of this problem by making use of a silicone membrane that works in conjunction with an array of holes to welcome water into the side of the goggles, compressing the membrane and preventing a vacuum from being created.

Currently the subject of a crowdfunding campaign, the Hektometer diving goggles are designed to protect divers' health and enable them to focus on their sport rather than worry about eye discomfort.
