Breast cancer awareness month may have come and gone, but that doesn't mean these Disney Princess cancer survivor illustrations will not make a big impact. A bizarrely sexy series solely for the reason that the iconic characters pose rather suggestively in the nude even though they are missing one or both of their breasts, the campaign rethinks the perception of such survivors.
Strong and proud of what they are imagined to have gone through, the Disney Princess cancer survivors are joined by other famous cartoons including Jessica Rabbit, Wonder Woman and even Betty Boop. Illustrated by Milan-based artist Alexsandro Palombo, who is known for his pop culture visions, the Disney Princess cancer survivors push the boundaries of such subject matters in a controversial manner. Yet Palombo simply states, "Every woman is beautiful, even after a mastectomy, and women should know that."
