To promote the upcoming Hollywood movie, National Treasure: Book of Secrets, Disney has launched a campaign that involves a real life treasure hunt which will run through out the next 10 weeks.
The hunt begins at Disney.com/NationalTreasure. Goodies include a brand spanking new Mercedes filled with treasure and hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of "Authentic treasure from Odyssey Marine Exploration."
The movie is a follow up to the original which stared Nicolas Cage as Ben, a treasure hunter who uncovered old mysteries and made exciting discoveries.
The hunt starts today, but the film won't debut in theatres until December 21. That's also the same day Entertainment Tonight will announce the contest winners.
A great marketing scheme on Disney's part to get fans riled up!
