This detached cabin overlooks the Pacific Ocean, giving its residents — a young family, a striking and calming panoramic view. The buildings, which have aptly been titled 'BL1' and 'BL2,' are designed by Chilean architecture firm Umwelt. The aesthetic of the building is incredibly contemporary as the richly colored wooden facade is complemented by a darker wood framework.
BL1 and BL2 are located in Cáhuil. The detached cabin is designed to cater to a more rural and nature-focused lifestyle. Umwelt attempted to do this through design with open-concept layouts and lush outdoor patios. Moreover, the residences are designed to cater to a sociable and active lifestyle as there is ample room to store things like surfboards or have guests over.
