The small home appliance was originally announced last year when the Destiny Community stated that if it was able to raise an impressive $777,777.77 USD directed to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, that it would launch an official Destiny Toaster.

It was able to actually raise over $800,000 USD in total for the hospital and now, Bungie is owning up to its promise. The toaster is marked with references to the Jötunn rifle, which is also noted to be a toaster. It also nods to the playful phrase, "let's get this bread."
