Robinson's futuristic lava lamp is called the 'Ferroflow' and is filled with a suspended liquid that moves in response to strong electromagnetic currents. The liquid itself is ferromagnetic fluid, which is a magnetic substance invented by NASA. When you touch the device, the liquid will begin bubbling. If you wish to adjust or manipulate the liquid, simply use the dial attached to the front of the device.
