JCPCDR Architecture has transformed a Parisian dental office into a laidback and chic space. Paris Dental Studios is located on a ground floor of a courtyard and wanted a space that meets the practical requirements of a dental office while equally focusing on creating a relaxed patient atmosphere. Essentially, the dentists wanted a space where patients who dread the dentist turn into excited guests and enjoy their experience at the office.
Creating this design was challenging, as the space is foremost a medical facility and requires space for equipment. Nonetheless, the designers focused on creating a bright, inviting, and warm atmosphere. The designers used an abundance of oak to create a warm reception room. The firm chose to work abundantly with wood as it creates a sense of homeliness and comfort, and removes that sterile feeling often felt in medical facilities.
