Delilah Jones Creates Several Planes of Existence in Her New Collage Series

Delilah Jones creates images that make time travel look as easy as tearing through a photographic image. The Portland-based artist's 'Portal' series juxtaposes two images in order to create the sensation that time and space are distorted and manipulable.

The images involve random pictures, many of which look as if they were found in a National Geographic magazine, that are made to look as if two realities are colliding into each other.

The impression is borderline surreal and entirely fantastical. The center image takes the focus, making the encompassing picture appear as if it is merely a superficial layer of existence. Looking at these pictures one almost feels as if they are a wizard, tearing open a portal in time in order to cross between different realities.
