Dawn Announces Next Series of Commitments to Protecting Wildlife

Leading American dish soap brand Dawn has announced that it will be rolling out a series of sustainability-focused commitments to "help create a cleaner world for wildlife." The new initiative will build on the brand's existing sustainability efforts and history of partnering with wildlife rehabilitation experts.

Over 40 years ago professionals at the International Bird Rescue started using Dawn dish soap to clean wildlife that had been soaked in oil following a massive spill. Since then, the two companies have teamed up to care for wildlife impacted by oil spills; Dawn has helped care for 150,000 birds and marine animals. Now, the company has pledged to further its efforts with International Bird Rescue as well as The Marine Mammal Center.

"People are always surprised when they see Dawn in our rescue and rehabilitation centers and with us in the field, but the history and continued partnership is real because Dawn carefully removes oil from delicate feathers, making it a vital resource for our response team and the birds impacted by oil pollution each year."
