Danone Argentina Adopted New Packaging to Improve Environmental Efforts

Danone Argentina has introduced new yogurt jars for its La Serenísima Original brand, designed to emphasize the product’s natural and premium qualities. The jars are made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a material chosen for its recyclability and durability. The packaging features a shrink label, an aluminum-based seal, and a clear overcap, with the resin formulation including an ultraviolet blocker to protect the yogurt. The design, developed in collaboration with Amcor, includes detailed engraving and a finely finished base, enhancing the premium look. The yogurt is available in six flavors: natural, natural sweetened, blackberry, lemon and ginger, strawberry, and sweet squash.

The La Serenísima Original yogurt jars are positioned as a premium product in the Argentine market. The jars are available in single-serving sizes, catering to health-conscious consumers who value convenience and quality. Danone has installed a Stork Food & Dairy Systems line to support an annual production rate of 40 to 50 million units, ensuring widespread availability. The use of PET not only aligns with Danone’s sustainability goals but also supports efficient distribution logistics, making the product accessible across Argentina.
