Daniel Burman and Jacquetta Wheeler get up close and personal with some desert-dwelling animals in the June 2011 edition of L'Officiel Brazil.
Daniel Burman captures Wheeler in a series of gorgeous ensembles, including a luxurious red dress that does not fit my concept of traditional desert clothing. Wheeler looks completely at home on the stark, arid landscape. A few shots feature Wheeler her confidently controlling a camel, while others show her standing fearlessly and poised with a parrot on her arm.
The real star of this shoot, however, is the UK-based photographer Daniel Burman. Taking a supermodel to such an unusual setting for fashion photography seems like it could be complicated, but the shoot tells an effective story and is visually stunning.
