The horrific earth quake in Nepal has a death toll that has now exceeded 7000, including philanthropist Dan Fredinburg. The former Google employee and engineer was climbing Mount Everest to fundraise for OrphanGift when an avalanche resulting from the earth quake hit. He passed away on April 25th after sustaining a serious head injury.
His friends, family and loved ones want to celebrate and continue the work he began through a Crowdrise campaign. Thus far they have already raised the $60,000 required to complete the OrphanGift campaign goal. The remaining funds will be going to the newly established Dan Fredinburg Foundation. With famous friends like Sophia Bush, this departed world changer is continuing to reach people and make a difference in death as he did in life.
