Holiday-Celebrating Shoe Collections

Nike Celebrates Día De Muertos with Its Latest Collection

Nike is celebrating Mexico’s annual Día de Muertos, or Day of the Dead, with a revamped shoe collection that consists of the Air Jordan 1, Air Max 90 and more.

The vibrant line aims to embody the authenticity of the culture, boasting colorways and leveraging traditional motifs that represent the celebration. One of those motifs include the use of the Mexican marigold, which is a flower representing the continuity of life. Other design elements include the imagery of traditional ofrendas, which pay homage to deceased family. The colorways for this line boasts orange, purple and green hues, but what's most exciting is the use of texture with embroidery and panelling seen on multiple iterations throughout.
