Seoul-based design studio Sukchulmok designs the Cruving Block, which is a photography studio that takes on a tent-like structure. It is located in South Korea within Daejeon and it is inspired by the look of toy bricks and childhood creativity. The space also is perfect for relaxing and due to the position, the design of the space is meant to be easily disassembled.
Lead architect of the project Park Hyunhee tells Dezeen that "The intention was to capture the image of a company dealing with baby products with the ethos that space should resemble users. In the early days of design, we came up with simple forms such as children's wooden block toys. I wanted to show flexible gestures in the building by reflecting the characteristics of the company, which makes baby products with eco-friendly bamboo fibre materials, and I thought PTFE materials were suitable."
