If someone endeavored to explain the Curtain Call installation, rather than simply present it, it would come off as a rather strange piece of artwork. Who would want to see a piece of drapery, no matter how gigantic it is? Yet there is much more to the Curtain Call installation than its material. A multimedia wonder, projected onto its massive surface are projected films, live performances and even audience interaction.
Created by artist/designer/architect Ron Arad, the Curtain Call installation is made out of 5,600 silicon rods that have been suspended from the ceiling. Since these rods are translucent, it is possible to see the projections both from inside and outside the circle.
The Curtain Call installation is currently being shown at the Roundhouse in London.
